It Is My Birthday. Can You Grant Me This Request as a Gift?

Do not worry; I am not asking for money.

I just celebrated my 40-something birthday. Honestly, Nothing glittery happened to me today.

I merely wished for a long bedtime (I got up by 9 am) — and a timeless-bound breakfast with the family.

Yes, I know — most of them are processed, but I am giving myself an exceptional break for wellness.

It is December season, anyway. When this month arrives, a food fest happens almost every day.

Whenever I celebrate, there is something up during the day. But this time, it was merely doing Nothing.

No beaches, hotel staycation, or shopping for any branded stuff

My only request to my family was peace and silence. My kids would argue and fight about menial things almost every day, so whenever they got close to a discussion, I would say stop — it is my birthday!

There were no plans for the day; it was enough to be with my favorite humans. After eating my morning meal and coffee, I browsed through my Facebook, LinkedIn, and Chat groups.

The greetings can be overwhelming — but every time this happens, I savor the moment and appreciate it. But this time, I deferred thanking them one by one…
