The Day When I Met Omicron and What I Have Learned From It While Imprisoned at Home

It might look harmless but take it seriously

Living with the virus has been embraced by many.

I stopped watching the news to monitor the number of impacted people. It is also frustrating to see the increasing amount of deaths. Add to the hurt is the inability of the hospitals to cater beds to those who need help.

Keeping myself updated with Covid merely instilled worry, fear, and negative thoughts around my head. My family learned to embrace the pandemic — we practice due diligence wearing a mask all the time when we go for a quick walk or grocery.

The workplace observes the same protocols — and some institutions such as hospitals insist that we wear face shields so, we did. We place our faith in God for protection now and then. We take multivitamins every day, intentionally watch our diet and get enough rest.

Every December, people are expected to attend numerous gatherings — and I saw some headline that came across my social network feed that case would surge. And true enough, my entire family got hit with Covid.

One fine day just like the good old days
