Men in my home country dream of working overseas

For obvious reasons, there are limited opportunities here, and if there are — salary is not much alluring to give a better life to family.

I know a lot of guys who prefer to be in a different country to provide for their spouse and kids’ material blessings. And it is sad to think how some broke apart in terms of relationships.

It is not uncommon for a man to be transferred overseas for work.

• But what does that mean for the family he leaves behind?
• Is it acceptable for a man to leave his wife and children behind to further his career?

Go for it

There are certainly some advantages to working abroad. For one, it can be a great opportunity to earn more money.

I suppose it depends on what kind of profession you have — and what industry.

Nurses here in my home country are paid poorly — when they leave for Europe or the United States, they are rewarded financially.
